Earth Day in San Rafael!

Saturday, April 23, 2016, 9am – noon

Give back to the Earth along with your neighbors and millions across the country at an Earth Day service project. Locations vary from year to year and take place in collaboration with My Earth Day Marin. To participate in one of the San Rafael locations listed below or look for other Marin locations go to MyEarthDayMarin.

Earth Day Project Locations in San Rafael

On Earth Day, volunteers remove litter and invasive plants from public areas such as parks, open spaces, medians and sidewalks, with the City and Marin Sanitary Service providing dumpsters, trash bags and trash pick-up services.

Clean Up Pickleweed and Schoen Parks: Stages at Schoen Park, between Pickleweed Park and Spinnaker Point on Canal St.  Click here to sign up in advance.

Shoreline Path Trash Clean Up: Stages at Target parking lot, 125 Shoreline Parkway – at the Starbucks outside patio. Click here to sign up in advance.

Remove Invasive Plants and Trash on Shoreline Path @ Bedford Cove: Park on Spinnaker Point Drive due to limited parking on Bedford, take left on Bedford and see path to Shoreline.  Click here to sign up in advance.

Bay Way Beach Trash Clean Up: Located off of Point San Pedro Road. This event is full and closed.

San Rafael Creek/Canal: A water-based cleanup hosted by 101 Surf Sports. This event is full and closed.

Bring your own reusable water bottle, gloves, sunscreen, layered clothing, sturdy, close-toed shoes. Be prepared to sign a Volunteer Service Agreement form (youth under 18 must have parent signature). Fill out a Volunteer Service Agreement now and bring it with you to the project
